Monthly Goals Update for June 2014 @ AllOurDays.com #goals #monthlygoals #writethemdown
Personal

1. Read one chapter from the book of Matthew every day, Continue reading Jesus Calling daily. I completely failed on this goal! I read from Jesus Calling most days each week, but only read about 10 chapters of Matthew.

2. Exercise 3 days a week. I did okay with this, some weeks were much better than others, but I averaged almost 3 days a week.

3. Read something encouraging every day. I read or listened to something encouraging every day.

Marriage

4. Pray for Tim multiple times every day. I prayed for Tim almost every time I switched the laundry from the washer to the dryer :)

Parenting

5. Pray specifically for each of my children. I’ve been praying for the kids more. I’m trying to go to each of them and pray for them before I go to bed at night.

6. Continue reading Jesus Calling: 365 Devotions for Kids each morning. We’ve been enjoying this together. We normally miss one or two days a week.

7. Read at least one chapter of our current read aloud every weekday. We’ve almost finished our current read aloud!

Homeschooling

8. Continue starting school right after breakfast. We did well with this during November. I’ve finally accepted that it’s better to get the kids started right away and clean up the kitchen once they are working than to try to make sure the house is completely clean before we start.

Homemaking

9. Purge through kids’ clothes. I’ve done a little of this. We’re planning on working on this more this week since Tim has some time off.

10. Strip all cloth diapers. I finished this and Lillian is back in cloth diapers full-time.

11. Get organized for Christmas and start making gifts. We’ve made our list and checked it twice! Thankfully, we had more gifts finished than I thought.

12. Plan out dinners each week. I did okay with this goal…probably about an 80%.

Blogging

13. Complete Kati’s Photo-a-Day Challenge. I did alright during the first two weeks. Then my camera battery died and I kept forgetting to charge it.

New Goals for December

Personal

1. Read one chapter from the book of Matthew every day, Continue reading Jesus Calling daily. I’m starting over with the book of Matthew :)

2. Go to bed by 10:30 at the latest. I’ve been going to bed super late! While late at night is the only quiet time in my house right now, sleep is what I really need during this busy season of life.

3. Read something encouraging every day.

Marriage

4. Continue to pray for Tim multiple times every day. I’m going to continue with the laundry switch prayer. I’m adding a list of scriptures to pray for him to the front of the dryer.

5. Go on a birthday date. Our birthdays are the 15th and 19th of December, so we get to celebrate them together :)

6. Help Tim with marketing for our restaurants. I already have gift card bonus coupons, loyalty cards, a coloring contest, a printed flyer, and an email newsletter on my to-do list for December.

Parenting Goals

7. Pray specifically for each of my children. I’m going to visit each of them in their beds before I go to sleep each night.

8. Take time to respond to my children instead of just reacting. I’ve found if I simply take a minute to think I respond much better.

9. Read at least one chapter of our current read aloud every weekday.

Homeschooling Goals

10. Continue starting school right after breakfast.

11. Enjoy our advent activities through Christmas.

Homemaking Goals

12. Purge through kids’ clothes and toys

13. Get Christmas gifts finished and wrapped before Christmas Eve.

14. Redo our monthly food budget (these kids can put away some food!) and plan out dinners each week.

15. Finish designing, formatting, and printing my planner for 2015. I’ve really enjoyed my custom planner. This year’s will be even better!

Professional Goals (Blogging & Etsy Shop)

16. Send out my first email newsletter. I’m really excited about this. You can sign up to get our newsletter in the sidebar (under our fmaily picture) or here.

17. Read Ruth Soukup’s eBook How to Blog for Profit without Selling Your Soul.

18. Set goals and start planning for 2015.
